# Manage Custom Dimensions

> Creates a Google Analytics 4 custom dimension from an event parameter, user property or item parameter, updates its display name or description, or archives it

Creates a Google Analytics 4 custom dimension from an event parameter, user property or item parameter, updates its display name or description, or archives it. Custom dimensions cannot be deleted, only archived.

## Inputs

| `account` | array (also accepts a comma-separated string) | No | - | The GA4 property to change. Only one property at a time. |
| `action` | string or SelectableOption | Yes | - | 'create' registers an event parameter, user property or item parameter as a custom dimension so it appears in reports; 'update' changes its display name or description; 'archive' retires it (custom dimensions cannot be deleted). Options: 'create', 'update', 'archive'. |

## Output
