# Create Template

> Creates a template in a Google Tag Manager workspace from a raw resource payload

Creates a template in a Google Tag Manager workspace from a raw resource payload. Custom templates define reusable tag, variable, and client types in a Google Tag Manager container. Version and publish to take changes live.
