# Create Transformation

> Creates a transformation in a Google Tag Manager workspace from a raw resource payload

Creates a transformation in a Google Tag Manager workspace from a raw resource payload. Transformations modify event data in a server-side Google Tag Manager container before it reaches tags. Version and publish to take changes live.
