# Update Trigger

> Replaces a trigger in a Google Tag Manager workspace with a full Trigger resource payload

Replaces a trigger in a Google Tag Manager workspace with a full Trigger resource payload. Workflow: gtm\_get\_trigger, edit the payload, gtm\_update\_trigger, then version and publish.
