| **App** | Microsoft Ads |
| **Operation ID** | `microsoft_ads_update_account_settings` |
| **Type** | Action |
| **Connection** | `microsoft_ads` (required) |
| **Credits per run** | 1 |
| **Agent / MCP tool** | Yes |
| **Requires approval** | Yes (write operation) |

## Inputs

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `account` | object or array of object or MicrosoftAdsAccountItem or string or integer | Yes | - | Microsoft Ads account whose account-level defaults will be updated. |
| `account_properties` | array of MicrosoftAdsAccountProperty | Yes | - | Native AccountProperty array, or JSON text. Only supplied properties are updated; campaign/ad-group/ad overrides are not changed. Example: \[\{"Name":"TrackingUrlTemplate","Value":"\{lpurl}?utm\_source=bing\&utm\_medium=cpc"},\{"Name":"FinalUrlSuffix","Value":"utm\_campaign=\{CampaignId}"},\{"Name":"MSCLKIDAutoTaggingEnabled","Value":"true"}]. Use Value="" to clear a tracking template or suffix. BusinessAttributes uses semicolon-separated names, e.g. "FamilyOwned;Vegan". Microsoft rejects the entire request if any property cannot be set. Read-back values and verification are returned. |
| `dry_run` | boolean | No | `False` | Return the resolved request payload without submitting an update or performing read-back verification. |

### MicrosoftAdsAccountItem

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `value` | string | Yes | - | |
| `label` | string | Yes | - | |
| `customerId` | string | No | - | The Microsoft Ads customer ID used for REST CustomerId headers. If omitted, it is resolved from the account ID. |

### MicrosoftAdsAccountProperty

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `Name` | enum (`TrackingUrlTemplate`, `FinalUrlSuffix`, `MSCLKIDAutoTaggingEnabled`, `AdClickParallelTracking`, `IncludeViewThroughConversions`, `ProfileExpansionEnabled`, `AllowImageAutoRetrieve`, `IncludeAutoBiddingViewThroughConversions`, ...) | Yes | - | Native Microsoft account property name. |
| `Value` | string or boolean or integer or number | Yes | - | Native string value (boolean/number inputs are converted to strings), e.g. "true" or "false" for switches. Empty string clears TrackingUrlTemplate, FinalUrlSuffix or BusinessAttributes. Null is forwarded unchanged; it is not a universal clear instruction. Microsoft validates values and feature availability. |

## Output

**Type**: `Dict`

Returns account\_id, dry\_run, requested\_properties, update\_accepted and verified. Actual updates include native AccountProperties when read-back succeeds, and a warning if verification fails or values differ. Dry runs include request\_payload. update\_accepted does not imply verified; no automatic retry is performed.

**Fields**: `account_id`, `dry_run`, `requested_properties`, `update_accepted`, `verified`, `AccountProperties`, `warning`, `request_payload`
