Fallback Google Sheets read operation returning the raw spreadsheets.get response, for what dedicated reads miss: cell formats (fonts, fills, borders, alignment), column widths, row heights, merges and conditional formats. Prefer sheets\_read\_data for values and sheets\_list\_sheets for tabs; pass ranges and a fields mask to keep responses small.

| **App** | Google Sheets |
| **Operation ID** | `sheets_get_spreadsheet` |
| **Type** | Action |
| **Connection** | `drive` (optional) |
| **Credits per run** | 1 |
| **Agent / MCP tool** | Yes |

## Inputs

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `spreadsheet` | string | Yes | - | Google Spreadsheet URL or ID to read. |
| `ranges` | string or array of string | No | - | A1 ranges to return, each with its sheet name, for example \["'Report'!A1:P20"]. Omit to return every sheet. Always set ranges with include\_grid\_data, since full grid data for a large sheet is huge. |
| `include_grid_data` | boolean | No | `False` | Return cell-level data (values and formats such as fonts, fills, borders, alignment and wrapping) plus row and column metadata (pixel heights and widths) for the requested ranges. Ignored when fields is set; include sheets.data in fields instead. |
| `fields` | string | No | - | Google field mask limiting what is returned, recommended to keep the response small. Examples: column widths and row heights 'sheets(properties(sheetId,title),data(columnMetadata/pixelSize,rowMetadata/pixelSize))'; cell formats 'sheets(properties/title,data/rowData/values/userEnteredFormat)'; merges and banding 'sheets(properties/title,merges,bandedRanges)'. |

## Output

**Type**: `Dict`

Returns Google's raw Spreadsheet resource for the requested ranges and fields.
