FAQs

In Google Ads interface:
  1. Go to Keywords > Negative keyword lists
  2. Click on your list name
  3. Look at the URL - the ID appears after sharedSetId=
  4. Example URL: ...sharedSetId=11716733521 → ID is 11716733521
Alternative: Just use the exact list name instead of the ID.
The node will return an error if the specified list cannot be found. Double-check:
  • List name spelling and capitalization (case-sensitive)
  • List ID accuracy
  • List exists in the selected account
No, Google Ads automatically prevents duplicate keywords within the same list and match type. If you try to add an existing keyword, it will be skipped, and the “Keywords Added Count” will reflect only new keywords.
  1. Export irrelevant search terms from Google Ads
  2. Use AI Analyze Data to clean and format the terms
  3. Connect the output to this node
  4. The AI can help identify which terms should be broad, phrase, or exact match
You can include match type symbols in the keyword text:
  • [exact match] - Will be added as exact match
  • "phrase match" - Will be added as phrase match
  • broad match - Will be added as broad match
Or enter plain text and let the system default to broad match negative keywords.
Negative keyword lists (this node):
  • Centralized management
  • Reusable across multiple campaigns
  • Better organization and scalability
  • Easier to maintain and update
Direct campaign negative keywords:
  • Campaign-specific only
  • More manual management required
  • Can’t be shared between campaigns
Review and update regularly:
  • Weekly: Check search terms reports for new irrelevant queries
  • Monthly: Analyze performance and add seasonal negative keywords
  • Campaign launches: Add category-specific negative keywords
  • After major changes: Update when expanding to new products/services
The negative keyword list is a shared resource. To see which campaigns use it, check the Google Ads interface under Keywords > Negative keyword lists, or use campaign-level reports to identify attached lists.
