Workflow
A workflow is an automated sequence of steps that runs when triggered. Each workflow is made up of nodes—some pull data, others transform it, and some send it out. You can build workflows for things like:- Sending weekly ad performance reports
- Launching creatives across ad platforms
- Summarizing campaign results with AI
Template
A template is a pre-built workflow you can use out of the box. Templates are built for common use cases like:- “Weekly Meta Ads Report”
- “Generate Ad Copy with AI”
- “Campaign Insights to Slack”
Node
A node is a single step in a workflow. Nodes can:- Pull data from platforms (like Meta Ads or Google Ads)
- Run actions (like send to Slack or generate a slide)
- Use AI to summarize or analyze
Trigger
A trigger is what starts a workflow. It could be:- A schedule (e.g. every Monday at 9am)
- A manual run
- A Slact message (e.g. “Chat with AI”)
Action
An action node performs something—like sending an email, posting to Slack, or updating a Google Sheet. Actions usually come at the end of a workflow.Credit
Credits are the currency used to run workflows. Each node or AI operation may consume credits based on complexity or usage. You can track your credit usage in your account settings.Agent
An Agent is a special AI node that acts autonomously. It chains tools together to complete a specific goal, such as:- Writing ad copy based on performance data
- Generating a report and sending it
- Analyzing why ROAS dropped week-over-week
AI Tool
An AI tool is a node that can be used by an Agent. Examples include:- GA4 Get Report — Pulls data from Google Analytics
- Googl Sheets - Write Data — Writes data to a Google Sheet
Connections
A connection is the link between Markifact and an external platform—like Google Ads, Meta Ads, or TikTok. Once connected, you can:- Pull in campaign performance
- Launch creatives
- Track conversions
Now that you understand the core concepts, you’re ready to start building.
