  • Search Query: Searches for ads containing specific keywords or phrases across all advertisers
  • Facebook Page ID: Retrieves all ads from a specific Facebook page/advertiser
You can use both together to find ads from a specific page that contain certain keywords, or use them separately.
  • Manual Configuration: Use when you want fine control over search parameters or need to search programmatically with dynamic inputs
  • Paste URL: Use when you’ve already found the ads you want in the Meta Ad Library and want to extract the same results
When enabled, this option shows only one representative ad from each creative group, reducing duplicate variations of the same ad. This is useful when you want to see unique creative concepts rather than all variations of the same ad with minor differences.
Yes. Use the Publisher Platforms multi-select field to choose which Meta platforms to include in your search (Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, Messenger, Threads). If no platforms are selected, all platforms are included.
Yes. The Meta Ad Library shows:
  • Only ads that are currently active or were recently active
  • Ads that meet Meta’s transparency requirements
  • Limited historical data (typically recent months/years)
  • Public information only (no private targeting details)
Political and issue ads have additional transparency requirements and longer retention periods.
Use quotes around your search query to find ads containing the exact phrase. For example:
  • nike air max - finds ads containing these words in any order
  • "nike air max" - finds ads containing this exact phrase
Yes. Use the Date Range field in Manual Configuration mode to specify custom start and end dates. This helps you analyze advertising activity during specific periods, such as holiday campaigns or product launches.
  • Active Ads: Currently running and visible to users
  • Inactive Ads: No longer running but still visible in the Ad Library for transparency
  • All Ads: Includes both active and inactive advertisements
Note that inactive ads may have limited availability depending on how long ago they stopped running.
